It was a beautiful Spring day last Saturday for my wedding in La Crosse, WI which was held at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish. Once I arrived, we started right in with pictures as Shannen & Nick decided to see each other prior to the wedding ceremony as well as get all formals done beforehand. It’s always a nice moment when the bride & groom see other for the first time and its normally staged. Even though it’s staged, it doesn’t prevent such beautiful emotion between to people.
They saw each other outside since the weather was so nice and here’s a nice little moment between them…

We then proceeded to shoot just some photos of the two of them outside of the church. Shannen looked very exquisite – all the way down to the smallest details…

After formals in the church, we had to leave since there was afternoon mass, which was no problem at all! It just gave a chance to have some fun taking photos in downtown La Crosse! First, we headed down to the riverfront next to Riverside Park and The Waterfront Restaurant for a few pictures. It’s usually a little breezy when down by the river, so the ladies huddled up to keep warm…

After that, we headed into the heart of downtown La Crosse, where much fun can be had… Yes, I was taking a photo ; ) – I love her expression!

While the bridal party waited at a local establishment, Shannen & Nick went for a walk with me around downtown and all the historic buildings. It makes for some “really neat stuff”…

We headed back to meet up with the bridal party and then proceeded to the ceremony. Went off without a hitch! Their wedding reception was held at The Waterfront, in the Cargill Room. A beautiful location for a wedding reception…

They had hor d’oeuvres all kinds for their laid back reception. It was a perfect way for everyone to mingle, sit & chat and enjoy the evening. Before too long, it was time for their Grand March and each couple in the bridal party made sure that Shannen & Nick showed their love for each other…

After that, the bridal party circled around them and they had their first dance of hopefully many more dances to come…

I had a great time as your wedding photographer, Shannen & Nick. Thank you. I hope the honeymoon is just as wonderful! With the help of Weddings by Nancy and video by Artistic Video Productions, I’m sure you’ll be able to relive your wedding day for years to come!!!
I wish you both the best!
