Sara & Andrew | Cottage Grove, Minnesota wedding photographer

June 26th, 2009 – I traveled to the Twin Cities for an outdoor wedding at Mississippi Dunes Golf Course in Cottage Grove, MN. Mississippi Dunes is located right off of the Mississippi River and makes for a beautiful backdrop for a wedding.

I first met with Sara and her bridesmaids as they were preparing for the ceremony. As someone who is basically an outsider and observer, there is a lot going on when a woman is becoming a bride to be married…

As the ladies were getting ready, Andrew and his groomsmen were patiently waiting in the Men’s locker room. Andrew was delivered a gift from Sara while he waited. When there was something that involved Sara, full attention was given…

Meanwhile, back in the ladies’ room, Sara was well on her way to being a bride…

She had plenty of helping hands!!

and once she was done getting ready, she was absolutely stunning…

They chose not to see each prior to the ceremony, which is quite common, so I took Sara & her bridesmaids formals first and then it was Andrew & his groomsmen’s turn. Being on a golf course, run-in’s with golf carts are likely…

We headed back into the clubhouse to cool off and that’s when I headed back in to see Sara’s grandmother see her…

Before going outside, the ladies & Sara’s mother said a prayer. Powerful.

As the ceremony began, each couple made their way down the aisle and Andrew was completely focused with sheer determination on finding and seeing his bride for the first time. It was another powerful moment of the day. I wasn’t the only one who noticed…

It truly was a picture perfect wedding ceremony location…

After the ceremony, we had a chance to take some photos of the newly married couple before heading in for their reception.

After dinner and the toasts & speeches were done, it time for their first dance as husband & wife…

and not too long after, everyone was dancing the night away…

Thank you Sara & Andrew for allowing me to document your wedding day. The love you both share was obvious. I hope you both enjoy that love for many years to come!
