I can already tell it’s going to be a beautiful day today… a perfect day for an outdoor wedding! Today’s wedding is going to take place on the campus of Winona State University (WSU) right here in Winona, Minnesota. The ceremony is being held at the WSU Alumni Gazebo which was built in 2003 in the center of the campus. Sounds a great combination for some beautiful wedding pictures to me!

Here’s a story about the first wedding that took place at the WSU Alumni Gazebo.

July 8th, 2008 - I had the pleasure of shooting the high school graduation portraits for a sweet, young lady who traveled to Winona from Austin, MN. She had a number of different outfits she wanted to use and we managed to fit them all in! We were all over town shooting pictures! It was a fun shoot and her mom was able to keep up with my driving! (just kidding mom, *wink*)

Here’s a few un-enhanced pictures from the senior portrait session:

She brought her little Chihuahua along, so we took a few pictures with him too! He’s smaller than one of my cats, but brindle like my dumb dog, Bugsy…

As I mentioned, it was an awesome shoot full of pictures and we had a good time. I wish you the best! Have fun during your last year of high school and keep smiling!!!

I’m wishing everyone a safe & happy Fourth of July holiday weekend!

To all of my past, present & future photography clients - I will be out of town through the weekend and might not have the greatest cell phone reception. Please feel free to contact me by email in the meantime and I will be returning messages/emails on Monday, the 7th.

Now I don’t normally post anniversary announcements (although, I think I’ll start!), however, this one ties in with the holiday! I just want to wish Amy & Anthony a happy 1st anniversary today! I was their wedding photographer last year, near the Twin Cities in Excelsior, on Lake Minnetonka on the Fourth of July. It was a really special wedding to be a part of as their wedding photographer.
