October 25th, 2008 - For my last scheduled wedding of 2008, I was back in Rochester, MN for the wedding of Michelle & Brad at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. It was a cool, but beautiful autumn day and just perfect for a wedding. There had been reports of possible snowfall, but there wasn’t any sign of that on their wedding day!
Michelle & Brad decided not to see each other prior to their ceremony so I was able to get some preparation & getting ready photos of both of them prior to the ceremony. It’s always kind of fun & exciting trying to “hide” the bride & groom from each other. There are times when you think you start to hear the “Mission Impossible” theme song playing as you peek around corners & walking down hallways.
Here’s an image of Brad & some of the guys getting ready…

After photographing Brad and the groomsmen, I then headed back to get the final preparations of Michelle with her bridesmaids. Her bridesmaids couldn’t keep their eyes off Michelle & her gorgeous wedding dress as she became a beautiful bride…

The ceremony was filled with music sang by Brad’s Best Man as well as his sister, who was also a bridesmaid. After they exchanged their vows and sealed it with a kiss, they made their way out through the large group of wedding guests blowing bubbles as they walked by…

We headed back in for some family photos as well as pictures with the whole bridal party. After finishing up with all the wedding photos, Michelle & Brad had a 1931 Rolls Royce waiting for them to take them to the reception…

I followed them as we made a stop at Silver Lake for some more photos with just the two of them. The funny part is managed to get myself into a position right in the middle of sand burrs or some kind of plant that has seeds that stick to clothes. Ahh, yes, the sacrifices a photographer goes through to get the shot. But I must say, the end result was awesome!!!

The reception was held at the Ramada Hotel & Conference Center where they served an excellent meal for their guests. After the dinner, speeches and toasts were given and then it was time to dance the night away. I must say that a good time was had by all who ventured out to the dance floor!

But as most are, the first dance between Michelle & Brad was an excellent one. It’s one of my favorite moments of the day. It’s a perfect time to capture the love & emotion between two people, like this…
I wish you both the best, Michelle & Brad! A beautiful wedding it was, on a wonderful autumn day. Thank you for having me capture your love for each other.
I invite everyone to click on the photo above to see more beautiful images from Michelle & Brad’s wedding day!!
