October 18th, 2009 - I traveled to La Crosse, WI on a cool, foggy Saturday morning to the beautiful Cathedral of Saint Joseph the Workman to photograph the wedding of my clients, Jane & Kevin, from Chicago, IL. Jane was originally from La Crosse and came home for her wedding.
One thing I notice when it happens to be cool or cold outside on a wedding day, is when I arrive at my location, the temperature doesn’t seem to bother anybody. I wonder if that’s from the love between two people about to get married…. that I just do not know for sure, but it is something that I notice.
After Jane & Kevin saw each other for the first time, I started with their portraits prior to the wedding ceremony. The Cathedral is a beautiful church…

After the ceremony, they both proudly walked down the aisle as husband & wife…

After family & bridal party portraits, before going to The Waterfront for the wedding reception, we headed to Riverside Park for some outdoor photos to capture some of the beautiful autumn colors. I can tell that these two are so much in love, always looking at each other & smiling…

We then arrived at The Waterfront and after greeting their guests individually, dinner and toasts - it was time for their dance to begin. They provided dance instructors to teach the guests swing dancing! They also had a seven piece live band to play music to fit…

After the swing dancing lessons, it was time for Jane & Kevin’s first dance. I could tell they took a few lessons at some point as it was a beautiful first dance…

And then the dancefloor opened up to all the guests and they danced the night away. I could tell a good time was had by all…

It was such a pleasure to be of service to you both, Jane & Kevin! I thank you for allowing me to share your beautiful wedding day with each of you and all of your family & friends! I wish you both a happy & healthy future full of love together…
