Well, the rain stayed away in Rochester, MN and the wedding went off without a hitch! Other than Alison & Erick getting hitched, that is! It is so neat to see two families come together, as well as friends from sometimes long distances, for two people so deeply in love. I’m honored to be able to share and capture these moments in my client’s lives.
Saturday was not any different. I believe both Alison and Erick were the youngest between each of their siblings. Alison was a stunning bride. Erick had a charm about him. (he looks really young, but people tell me the same thing too!) They’ve been together for a number of years and dated through college. And on April 19th, 2008 – they began the first day of the rest of their lives.
Let’s get to the good stuff – the wedding photography!
Both of them were all smiles when they saw each other for the first time…

Here we have our beautiful bride, Alison.

The flowergirl/junior bridesmaid, Alison’s niece, was cute as a button too…

Bride posting with her equally beautiful bouquet in front of the sanctuary at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN.

Alison blowing a kiss to her man during pictures…

Showing the love…

Hooking the bustle on a dress isn’t always as easy at it initially seems! But it makes for great photos! Her dress was beautiful too!

The flowers look so real on their cake. It never ceases to amaze me how some wedding cakes are designed and made! So cool…

When they arrived at Riverview Greens Golf Course in Stewartville, MN for the reception, again, they were all smiles. Probably because the hard part is done and now its time to start the party!

I think this photo is so neat. Father holding on to his daughter. Makes me wonder of when it will be my turn, and my hand, on my newly married daughter’s shoulder. It will be hard for me to let go, I know this for a fact!

After some photos outside, we went back in to warm up and have dinner. An excellent dinner at that. (thanks Alison and Erick, again!) They showed a slideshow after dinner and then it was time to dance the night away. Here’s a photo of the father/daughter and mother/son dance. Sometimes (and usually) other camera’s flashes will wreck a photo, but here’s an example of how it can make for a sweet photo!
I wish you both the best and have a happy, healthy future together – Alison and Erick! Hope you’re enjoying those sandy beaches on your honeymoon!!! Congratulations to you both! Thank you choosing me for your wedding photographer!
